AI Terminal
at Your Fingertips
FloatCode wraps Claude Code in a transparent overlay that floats above everything on your screen. One shortcut to summon it, visual workflow pipelines to automate multi-step tasks, per-project actions and config — all stored cleanly outside your repos.
Everything you need to vibe code
FloatCode wraps Claude Code in a native overlay — keeping you in your editor, your browser, wherever you are.
Claude Code Overlay
A transparent, always-on-top terminal that runs Claude Code directly over your current window. Multi-session tabs let you juggle projects without alt-tabbing.
Global Shortcut
Press Shift+Alt+F (Shift+Cmd+F on macOS) from anywhere to instantly summon or dismiss FloatCode. Your screen becomes the backdrop.
Visual Workflow Builder
Chain Claude prompts into repeatable pipelines with a node-based canvas. Add steps, conditionals, and loops — then run or debug them in one click.
Smart Actions
Pre-built one-click actions for your most common tasks — explain file, write tests, find bugs, commit changes. Fully customizable and per-project.
Prompt History & Diffs
Every prompt you send is saved with a timestamp and the resulting git diff. Search your full history across all projects.
Per-Project Config
Workflows, actions, templates, and screenshots are stored per project inside ~/.floatcode — never polluting your repos, always in the right context.
Your sessions stay yours
FloatCode is a local app. We built it so there is nothing to trust us about.
Local authentication
Your Claude session is authenticated directly through the Claude CLI on your machine. FloatCode never sees, touches, or stores your credentials.
Nothing sent to our servers
Your prompts, code, terminal output, and git diffs never leave your machine. We have no backend that receives or stores any of it.
No telemetry, no tracking
FloatCode doesn't phone home. No analytics, no usage tracking, no crash reports sent anywhere. What happens on your machine stays there.
FloatCode is a thin native wrapper around the Claude CLI. All AI communication goes directly between your machine and Anthropic — same as running claude in your terminal.
